कानाच्या वरच्या कडेला नाजुकशी ‘बुगडी’ घातली जाते. महाराष्ट्रात हा अलंकार अतिशय लोकप्रिय आहे. कर्नाटकातही तो वापरला जातो. काही ठिकाणी बुगडीला ‘सौभाग्यचिन्हा’चा मान दिला जातो. अनेक बारीक मण्यांचा पिरॅमिडसदृश उंचवटा बुगडीला उभट निमुळता आकार देतो. कानाच्या वरच्या बाजूला बुगडी घातली जाते, त्या कानाच्या कडेला भेदून जात असल्याने खालच्या आणि वरच्या दोन्ही बाजूला बुगडी खुलून दिसते.
